MARC

INSTRUCTOR

Marc’s journey into Pilates began while preparing for knee surgery following an ACL rupture. Trying Mat Pilates for the first time, he attended a class led by a family friend, which immediately made him feel comfortable—though still a little intimidated! Through consistent practice, Marc found Pilates transformative, helping him avoid surgery and enabling him to return to a highly active lifestyle. Today, Pilates remains an essential part of his routine, supporting his love for running, tennis, and overall fitness.

Inspired by the benefits of movement and exercise, Marc completed his Comprehensive Mat Pilates certification with The APPI and later added Dynamic Reformer training with Ten Health and Fitness to his qualifications. His teaching journey began while working with troubled primary school students, introducing them to Pilates to improve their physical and mental well-being. This experience deepened his passion for teaching and eventually led him to progress to Reformer Pilates, appreciating its accessibility, effectiveness, and growing popularity.

Marc’s teaching style is calm yet challenging, focusing on relaxing and mobilising the body to ensure better activation and execution of exercises. His classes emphasize flow, linking movements and muscle groups, and layering exercises to enhance athletic performance and enjoyment of movement.

Clients can expect to leave Marc’s classes feeling less tension and stress, a stronger connection to their core, and a deeper understanding of their body—benefits they can carry into daily life.

Outside the studio, Marc is an avid tennis player, a fan of jazz music, and a passionate cook. He also has a newfound love for reading both fiction and non-fiction and enjoys working on creative passion projects.
